New Children’s Exhibit Wins International Awards
On December 17, 2008, the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) announced at its annual convention in Las Vegas that Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park has won top honors in two categories:
- Overall Agricultural Program for the Non-Agricultural Fair going Public
- What Was Newly Established or Developed at Your Fair to Promote Agriculture
Working in partnership with Prairieland Park and leading industry stakeholders, Pacific Group Displays developed the AG-EXperience, a 10,000 square-foot display celebrating Saskatchewan agriculture. Interactive stations were designed to provide a fun, educational, hands-on environment to learn about the value and impact of agriculture and food production on the daily lives of Saskatchewan people. Phase One of the project featured the beef, dairy, poultry, and pork industries. Fair goers had the opportunity to learn about food production, nutrition, animal care, the effect of agriculture on the environment, and career options in the agriculture industry.
The Prairieland Park AG-EXperience also included Seed Survivor, an interactive exhibit for children, funded by Agrium Inc. and built by Pacific Group Displays. Seed Survivor is an integral part of the Calgary Stampede’sAg-tivity in the City. Visit our portfolio to see more images.
